Support before a problem becomes prolonged

A clear pathway for employers, HR and injury management teams

Our Early Intervention Program gives businesses a prompt clinical pathway when a worker reports pain, a musculoskeletal concern or difficulty meeting normal job demands. The goal is to identify barriers early, support recovery and provide practical recommendations within the clinician’s scope.

24

Prompt triage

We respond within 24 hours of receiving a referral on business days and confirm the appropriate next step.

RTW

Work-focused care

Assessment and treatment consider symptoms, function, work demands, suitable duties and graded return-to-work planning.

Useful communication

With appropriate consent, we can liaise with the worker, employer, treating doctor and injury management provider.

Early Intervention Program

Clinical support designed around work capacity

Early intervention is tailored to the worker’s presentation and the needs of the workplace. A typical short program is concentrated in the first two to four weeks, with ongoing care determined by clinical need and agreed arrangements.

Services may include

  • rapid clinical triage and assessment by a physiotherapist and/or exercise physiologist
  • identification of barriers to recovery and safe work
  • evidence-based treatment to maintain or restore functional capacity
  • suitable duties and graded return-to-work recommendations
  • progress reviews, clinical documentation and stakeholder updates
  • communication with the treating doctor or injury management provider where authorised

Pre-employment and pre-placement

Job-relevant clinical assessments

Our clinicians can assess musculoskeletal and functional capacity against the physical demands supplied for a role. Reports are targeted within 72 hours of the assessment appointment.

Assessment components can include

  • health questionnaire review
  • musculoskeletal assessment, including movement, strength and functional testing
  • physique and postural screening
  • job-specific functional testing based on the role information provided
  • clinical advice and a fitness-for-duty opinion within our professional scope
  • a clear written report for the authorised business contact
